Ok – Not Ok

Here’s a C&P of an email from 3 Weeks ago;

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your email.

Survey Monkey is the standard tool used by the Comms team and a subscription based service. This tool uses secure connectivity, multifactor authentication and the data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We have re-validated the use of the Survey Monkey with the programme team and the risk has been deemed as low. If you are uncomfortable with sharing your details via the survey, please let us know and we will find an alternative method for you.

Regards,

Data and Cyber Programme

Dear Data and Cyber Programme,

Did you really send an email out with a link to a Survey Monkey form asking for my name and userid?

I hope everybody has realised that this is not the way we should be sharing these details.

Keep up the good work.

Stephen

Subject: USB Survey Reminder

Hi All,

Thank you to those of you that have completed the survey from our previous email.

Can we please remind those of you that haven’t filled it in yet, that the survey will close on Friday 27th April at CoB: Survey link.

USB access will be removed by default for those, who won’t respond to the survey as it will be considered as not required.

Many thanks,

Cyber Security Programme

Here’s a new poster in the lift today;

Keeping it clean

Yesterday we all got an email asking us to make sure our desks were clear to allow the cleaners access to our computers, so that they could perform a deep clean of out PCs and equipment.

This morning……..

Ever wondered what…..

Have you ever wondered what ‘Greed’ actually looks like?

With the news this week that the once great Apple have been hobbling older models of their once better than average phone, I can now show you a true depiction of ‘Greed’.

I think the only words required are the final words of Steve Jobs himself.  (Not that crap that gets posted everywhere)

“OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW.”.  Steve Jobs, 2011.
